positioning technology that makes all mobile phones location aware --
outdoors, indoors, and even underground. Announced technology requires only a
cellular network – no GPS or WLAN is needed – to make all mobile phones
location aware. GloPos technology is completely operator-independent. No
additional hardware is needed on a
mobile device for accurate positioning.
“By making all phones location aware, GloPos is set to revolutionize the
indoor positioning and social location market, including mobile search and
personalized mobile advertising, and massively expand the positioning market,”

versus W-LAN and GPS-based indoor positioning applications. Only 15% of handset
market is GPS enabled. Our technology can add a potential billion handsets to

GloPos technology’s patent-pending, self learning algorithms calculate
an accurate position fix to within 1-40 meters even in places where no W-LAN access
points are available or no GPS can be used (i.e. in shopping malls, subways,
underground parking, airports, sports arenas, exhibition centers). This
technology works wherever cellular network coverage is available. “All
location-based applications on existing phones can take advantage of GloPos
technology and improve their performance,” says Mikael Vainio.
New technology does not consume any extra battery life while operating
as cell information is already being used to stay connected. This enables
longer device usage versus traditional GPS, allowing battery power to be used
for more complex applications and driving more powerful processors

4TS introduces a new security phone solution
The new 4TS Security
Phone solution introduces to enterprises and service providers a new and easy
way to provide extra security for personnel travelling anywhere globally. 4TS
has just recently started selling this new concept that is perfect for people

4TS Security Phone is a

General Meeting of 4TS
Finland Oy has decided to change the name of the company to 4TS Corporation Oy.
The change has been approved by the authorities and it is valid immediately.
From now on 4TS Finland will
be used as bifirma to describe company’s business operations in Finland.

quarter of 2008. 4TS Corporation describes company’s international presence
better than 4TS Finland, which

Changing the name does not mean that we want to get rid of our Finnishness, on

world in our line of business”, says Antti

was not approved by the Finnish authorities. 4TS Finland

Juha Ståhl has been apponted Product Marketing Manager for all 4TS products and services. Previously Juha has been working as Product Manager for 4S dSeal product family.
As Product Marketing Manager Juha will be responsible for productisation of all 4TS products as well as for physical and digitalized sales support for all 4TS channel partners all over the world.

Antti Kaihovaara has worked for 4TS as
Vice President, Sales & Marketing since October, 2008. Jyrki Paananen who is
now CEO and President of 4TS will carry on working in active role as President
of the board of directors.

4TS Launches GlobalMPS, New Mobile Positioning Technology

4TS Finland Oy, a positioning solutions provider, is
today launching new mobile positioning technology, GlobalMPS, Global Mobile
Positioning System. This new technology enables operator-independent positioning
for mobile devices anywhere a GSM network is available, e.g. also inside the
buildings. With GlobalMPS, the limitations of GPS are eliminated and true real-time
positioning is made possible.
Positioning
with GPS (Global Positioning System) is not possible inside buildings or inside
many vehicles even with the newest GPS technologies. Operators offer a mobile
network based positioning service, MPS (Mobile Positioning System) for mobile
devices, which is operator-dependent and almost impossible to use when moving
from one operator’s network to another’s. With their new invention, GlobalMPS,
4TS Finland
is able to provide a global positioning solution that combines both the GPS and
GlobalMPS features.
The new GlobalMPS
technology allows locationing inside buildings, trucks, and delivery vehicles
and wherever a mobile GSM network is available. The GPS tracking handicap of
not getting position information in those environments is eliminated with GlobalMPS
and a true real-time positioning becomes possible. By being easily located with
GlobalMPS and not trying to ping for GPS locations where it obviously is not
possible, this also saves battery life on a mobile device. The accuracy for GlobalMPS
positioning is up to the GPS-level. All these new features mean that the
security and quality assurance of the transported assets improve.

4TSFINDER was successfully tested by AKK Motorsport

AKK Motorsport, the Finnish Automobile Sport Federation, tested the 4TSFINDER real-time tracking system in a rally event held in Hämeenlinna. The event organizers were able to follow the location and status of ten rally cars that were fitted with GSM/GPS tracking devices.
